Being a third year Information Technology student in USEP under the new curriculum you must go through experience in making a business plan for the preparation for the next semester in implementing a business according in the method of doing something that is worked out in advance. Now we have to make a unique suggested area in particular trade and profession.

Currently our instructor gave an assigned task to be passed by Friday. The topic assigned was a business plan with the nature of business and the possible client and beneficiaries. Our instructor gave some art or technique to be used in a specific task identically the best, love and irritants. In planning the business we or you must know those techniques to come up a unique business plan. Indicates a subject or business plan have many technique but the three steps introduce by our instructor was very helpful to be owner or possessor of business. An Information Technology student as I have known they must undertake or deals with something that requires effort like fifty percent in people ware and fifty percent in software. So, like a business you are dealing with people, and then you apply the information or knowledge inline in the software with these combinations of skills you can also build a unique business. But why does it very important in knowing the client or beneficiaries of the business and nature of the business and also the name of the business? It is important because having a unique business name can make the people attract and confusing what kind of business you have or what are the services offers in business you have. However, you choose a wrong business name can dreadful fate it to the state of being unknown and failure. In starting the business make sure that you choose the best name so that the target beneficiaries or client attract and you have to make a trade mark along your business name. One of the factors in naming business was to communicate by the people. Also it should be strengthen the fundamental elements of the business. Since we are talking about business, is your business plan meaningful to the other people? Informative business plan inform everybody about the business you are planning. What it does, where the place of business can establish and so on. In addition to have a conjuring up ideas that can express the business name was to focusing on what the business is all about, the quality you like, suitable and originality. An idea too is one of the very significant to giving and choosing the unique business. Especially originality of the business can mark to the people who you target to be a client and beneficiaries. To be open minded too was one of the kinds of qualities that a remindful name can express.

Now! We know what the factors of naming a business are. First, know your best, love and irritants in life so that you have basis in your business planning. By using this factor my I will share first the irritants. As a information technology student I hate corrupted files, computer viruses, and other defect in the computer. I do love to repair some software crash or searching a defect from your computer. The best I have was to know the defect and I will do the necessary things to be done. So, I come up with the business name was “Tingtingbutingting”. Why I came up this name because almost of the people used computer by the part of his/her life. But all they can’t perform a troubleshooting by their self. So, I decided to propose this kind of business though there are so many troubleshooting stores available here in our country. But pursuing this kind of business you must have to understand and know what are the possible factors or the feature you have to consider. In troubleshooting a computer you doesn’t need a large knowledge about the computer even a basic knowledge you can do a troubleshooting as long as you are willing to know what the things you do are. Doing something you love to do is easy than doing something you hate was difficult. So, I think the business I choose was very suiting to me not that I am an Information technology student but because I love the things in line of troubleshooting defect computers. What are the things you can do to start this business. Of course you have a capital in investing the tools you need but not that a big capital. Second you must know how to troubleshoot the defect or you must know what that kind of defect was. The third things to consider was be patient of what the things you do. Also you have to be an agent by selecting your based or either choosing your office. But in my business tingtingbutingting not only focuses all hardware but also in software and people ware. In the sense of I am an IT so I know some of the defect in the software. In addition you must to communicate by the people ware because you and your customer dealing with money. You need to be flexible about your price because not all of your customer afford. I deal with this kind of business since I know how to identify all the defects in the computer. Also you must consider the time because conducting the computer troubleshooting was not that easy. You must study or to know the different tools in the corresponding to the defect of the computer. There are many steps of troubleshooting for example the operating system has malfunction. So the best thing to do is to reprogram the operating system then by reprogramming the operating system you must have the installer of the application you use and the driver of the computer you troubleshoot. Besides the business I proposed also offers a tutorial class. What is this tutorial class? It means who are interested to know and learn how to troubleshoot error from their computer. I offer a one and half hour tutorial lesson every day in 100php per person then every tutorial lesson compose of five to ten person so that I can manage and teach them well. Not that so ambitious but if my business boom and attract to the people and I have enough capital I will selling computer parts too. In which they can’t go other store to buy the parts of the destroy parts. Inline of the tutorial after all session they can gain knowledge at the same time they have certificate that they can use in the future to have their job. So if you are interested on how to troubleshoot some error of your computer there are some step or process. But what is the really meaning of troubleshooting? It is a logical, systematic search for the source of a problem so that it can be solved, and so the product or process can be made operational again. Troubleshooting is needed to develop and maintain complex systems where the symptoms of a problem can have many possible causes. Troubleshooting is used in many fields such as engineering, system administration, electronics, automotive repair, and diagnostic medicine. Troubleshooting requires identification of the malfunction(s) or symptoms within a system. Then, experience is commonly used to generate possible causes of the symptoms. Determining which cause is most likely is often a process of elimination - eliminating potential causes of a problem. Finally, troubleshooting requires confirmation that the solution restores the product or process to its working state. In what I have said we are accepting inadequate feature. As you notice from the meaning troubleshooting was used to bring something into existence or produce the possible or the cause of the problem.

On the other hand we need to identify what is the nature on the said business. For me it is a combination between troubleshooting computer service and tutorial service. In that sense we are using the principles who deal with the problem we have made and bring from the changes. I mean that I came up that nature of the business it is because we are dealing with the problem troubleshooting. In dealing with that the true meaning of the nature of the business was: Usually, when filling out some kind of form, "nature of business" refers to the type or general category of business or commerce you are describing. For example, if you worked at McDonald's, the nature of your business is food services. Also "Nature of Business" means what type of business your are doing? like Wholesale, Retail or Service, Manufacturing, Marketing, etc. If you want more specific, then HBA wholesale, Car Service, Furniture manufacturing and health Drinks Marketing. In addition one of the reasons why they are building this kind of business because it is not need of a big capital. No need a big office or room for business activity for conducting a solution problem or troubleshooting. You can manage it by home services and office services. It would be possible too that one big company will hire you as a computer technician. As a risk taker I will take the challenges to acquire the needs of my customer. We all know that troubleshooting wasn’t that easy to handle. One of the factor that matters troubleshooting is the educational attainment of the person being involve end the person behind this. It is no other but “ME”. I was studied short term course of troubleshooting when I was in my second year college in Tagum. It is summer vacation when I toke the training. I never regret to attain the training because it is use to be more knowledgeable in terms of troubleshooting. Another thing that matter in building a business in cline with technology is the experience. I had experience this troubleshooting before. I gained money. I gained experience. I had a chance to earn my own money because of my own ability.

The target clients I used to recognize are the people who have problems in their computer parts, such as monitor and CPU. These are the people who want to be reformatting their units. Some wants to solve the problems which several parts are not in functioning. Of course as a technician, I recommend buying the new hardware that is going to replace in their computer. One thing that I can be proud of Tingtingbutingting is the good quality of the service, which clients will use to recommend me their friends who are the new clients of my techno business. Most of the people approaches me are students like me. Some are worker such as teacher.

I had read an article once about factors to consider on how to boost up and be success my techno business. The following are the detailed factors to be considered:

Cultivate Networks: Technopreneur must have to practice the power of networks. They take the time to identify and build relationships with key peers, mentors, and advisors. This inner network provides support, direction, and an increased number of people to assist. This emphasizes the people that are professionals who are willing to partake advices to me as a new beginner. Schedule a few hours every month to review your plan. This will ensure you use the plan as a living document rather than a stagnant framework. Use the review process as a way to gauge what's working and what needs to be altered about your business.

Customer Centric: A business without customer is useless. Business success requires an unwavering commitment to the customer. The comment of the clients either it is negative or positive are the idea of being cultivated my business in better way. This commitment encompasses a mindset of understanding the customers' world. There is a saying says ”customer is always right”. This is the mindset of being a customer. Honestly I also agree to that idea. Understanding the customers’ wants and needs provides the business with a greater opportunity to earn a loyal customer base. Focus away from business and profits, and toward what you can do to improve the life of your customers. Without respective customer, I don’t think a business will last in industry especially in nowadays with great competition in marketplace. We have to love our customer. Don’t fool them; because once they might aware of that, they will no longer reach you as they were before. Funny how much time goes by for most business owners without really talking even to your customers, much less to a few people who aren't your customers but could be. I was shocked the first time I did it. I felt like I talked to customers often, but that's nothing to what you get when you dedicate time and have a real conversation.

Humble Honesty: Honestly is the best policy. Yes! Definitely true. Being honestly to what are you now is important, because there is no great technopreneur who wasn’t surpass a battle in the world of the competition of industry without being fair. Humble is another thing to consider. Business success requires the ability to know your strengths and weaknesses. Being open and honest about yourself and your business creates growth as an individual and as a company. Don't spend time developing weaknesses. Find help for weak areas, enabling you to focus on strengths.

Adaptability: Business needs adaptability, this mean that a business must have the presence of adaptability to change for a better respond. A business success requires the ability to adapt to changing situations. Nothing ever goes as planned. The world of business is full of surprises and unforeseen events. Bigger isn't better--it's confusing. You can always add components to your plan as your business grows. Review your capitalization requirements and capital resources. Clearly identify your market and provide a basic market analysis. List your assumptions and establish benchmarks. Outline basic financials, including sales forecasts and an expense budget. Using the habit of adaptability allows business owners to respond to circumstances with the ability to change course and act without complete information. Being flexible allows us to respond to changes without being paralyzed with fear and uncertainty. Tingtingbutingting is a venture that should be maintain because technologies are boosting up the standard every now and then.

Opportunity Focused: Having your race in business is a prominent thing of opportunity. Tingtingbutingting doesn’t need much capital to start it up not like the other idea of business. This is a venture that needs more skillful. Problems are a regular part of business life. Staff issues, customer misunderstandings, and cash crunches- the list is endless. To achieve business success, look at both sides of the coin. Every problem has an opportunity. Being opportunity focused makes the game of business fun and energizing. Problems are normal to happen and occur, but if you know how to consider and balance everything, hindrance is not an excuse to stay longer a techno business.

Finding A Better Way: Productivity is the cornerstone of business success. Formulate the habit of finding a better way to make your business more productive. This will create more time to focus on the critical issues that drive sales and profit. Productivity can be enhanced by technology, automation, outsourcing, and improving business processes. Determine a few important things that have to happen in your business and when they have to happen. Write down the dates and deadlines. These are your milestones. Just as with that to-do list people never complete, plan too many milestones and you'll get lost in them, and the list won't have much importance. Focus on a few of the most important business milestones.

Balanced Lifestyle Management: Don't argue about what goes where. Don't criticize contributions. It's brainstorming. Just jot down the points and record them. Strategy follows. A business can consume an owner's time and energy. It's easy to allow the business to take control of your life. Business success requires the habit of balancing all aspects of your life. Even though I am not knowledgeable about running a business most especially interconnected to technology, but I am hoping that I could build this sooner or later. I can assure you that I am a person who is a risk taker ready to take challenges and a self-master person. In our first discussion about technopreneurship as Mr. Randy Gamboa shared that there are a lot of requirements to attain to start a business SEED model which stand for Self-mastery, environment, enterprise and development. The processes of management are the following: plan, direct, control and organize. Honestly speaking, I am not fully aware to that fields. The characteristics to count of as a manager are: hardworking, self-confident, profit oriented, goal-oriented, persistent, responds to feed back, initialize, willing to listen and set own standard. I must conquer these good virtues to be a well technopreneur in the near future.

Commencement Address by Steve Jobs

During the 2005 graduation ceremony, one of the most noticeable and prominent universities in United States named Stanford University invited Steve Jobs the CEO and the founder of Apple Computers. Steve Jobs was one of the graduation speaker or commencement speaker that he entitled “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish”- Steve Job.

Steve Jobs gave speech about the three short stories from his life.

The first stories talks about in connecting the dots. In this tale the biological mother of Steve Jobs who unwed college graduate student have decided to give her son to the one who can give an abundant life. But suddenly the she found out that the one who adopted her son had never graduated from college. When Steve Jobs got his college life, he learned something about serif and san serif typefaces that he uses in the first Macintosh computer. That was the short summary of the first short story. The lesson that Steve Jobs want to deliver in the people was “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards”. The past experiences and past mistakes about your life are one of the stepping stone to have a better life. Those experiences give us an ideas or lessons in life. Being dropped out student was not the measure of the mental or physical ability of one people. Steve Jobs stated in this tale that “If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts”. So everything happen for reasons, he dropped out and then he dropped in. Learning from something that falls short of what is expected in life gives courage to improve and make the most likely to have the best or come near to the desired destiny you want in the future.

The second short story goes like this, Woz and Jobs started the Apple in the garage. They made Apple grown and released their creation- the Macintosh. The tale also stated, Steve Jobs lost his position and fired from his company. However, he met David Packard and Bob Noyce then he started a new company named NeXT. In that year a girl Laurene gives an inspiration to Steve Jobs and having a wonderful family. The story wants us to learn one of the most important lessons in life, which was “Do what you love to do”. Finding true passion leads into the way of great work. Though Jobs lost his position, he still returned to Apple Computers because he never hates his jobs and he didn’t lose his trust from his self. Since he loved what he did, he never limits his knowledge for new learning. Make love of what you are doing, just like in love relationship if you don’t love his/her best or even his/her worst you can’t understand and you can’t reserved him/her whole heartedly, because somehow no matter what you do, that person still accept you as you. Don’t mind the failures that you experience, but just make it as tools for the future use to stand on in life. The most important things I learned does that love all you want and give significant of each reason. Don’t wait for the time will come that opportunities will disappear. That’s why Steve Jobs entitled this tale of his life as love and loss.

The last and third short story of Steve Jobs is about death. Steve Jobs was diagnosed with cancer. It clearly showed a tumor on the pancreas. He said if you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right. Steve Jobs had a biopsy through to his stomach and into his intestine only to see his tumor. The doctor found out that his tumor in his pancreas is curable with surgery. He had the surgery to get that tumor of his pancreas. This we called miracle in life. if you are in the position of Steve Jobs and you only know that you are living the world in few months would you still doing such things? I think I will do the very best things that I never had before and make some apologize to the people I hurt. As Steve Jobs detailed in this short story “No one has ever escaped the time of death”. That is pretty true even our Jesus Christ who was our savior doesn’t escaped death. It is a matter of “life cycle” first you are in the process of developing in the womb of your mother, after that you become human and every year your age has been older and older. There was no human in this earth stay young as they want. Everything is changer and everything goes older both physical and mental. Steve Jobs was trying to give message in this tale that don’t waste your time and make your best out of it. Since your time is limited don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice-Steve Jobs. During at this time he read the book of the Whole Earth Catalog, he saw and read at the back cover of the book saying “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.” So Steve Jobs used that saying and applying to his self and trying to preach to others.

The three stories give us many lessons that we can use to be a successful someday too. Like the message that give my friend, hurt first in order to grow, failure in order to know and sometimes we have to be broken so that we can be whole again. It’s up to you on how you’re going to run your life. Run it for good, or ruin it that bad. Yes, people will care or try to shift you back to the wrong track. However, at the end of the day, it’s still your choice that matters. Choose what you love, then love your choice. Let us turn our gift and failures into a blessing by our act of sharing so that other people can make the best too. “Stay Hungry”, don’t limit you from new learning, there is a room for learning, always be Hungry. “Stay Foolish”, don’t be afraid or fear of doing new things and change, you can never move forward in life. So, stay foolish-say Steve Job…

Each and every one of us has a specific purpose in life.
However I am placed here to fulfill and understand what my purposes in life are.

As a student:

To finish and graduate my chosen course

As a Roman Catholic:
To preach the good news about God
To live my life to the fullest in God’s will
Be a blessings to others

As a part of my family:
To be a successor (someday)
To build a good relationship with my parents and brothers.
To decency my father and mother
To be a good model to my youngest brother

As time goes by I still finding my real purpose of living in this world.

Peersonal Traits Test

REFLECTION FOR PERSONAL TRAITS TEST

One of the most important in life was to truly know yourself, because knowing oneself gives happiness not only in your self but also your love ones. It helps you to face problems or trials in life if and only if you truly know about your capability and faith in yourself that you really can face those trails. But what are the things that we must to do if we are starting knowing our self? The answer was just spending some time evaluating you or they called it personality traits.

Last week when we met our subject technoprenuership our facilitator gave the class a prelim examination but not that usual examination because it is all about our personality traits. The personality traits we took have thirty two items and each item have two situations to be choosing to test our characteristics. We also checked it afterwards. I got the average score of forty two. It was bothering me because I don’t know the reason in conducting that personality traits test. But when our facilitator allowed us to see what is the interpretation of our score I felt happy because it shows that “SOMEWHAT ENTREPRENEUR”. Now I know what the real purpose of taking that test is. As a student like me that have little idea about business, I never thought I got an average score about personality traits of being entrepreneur was. I’m not sure if I can be a successful entrepreneur or technopreneur someday. However, it felt me that I have capability to have my own business.

I can relate this activity in our last activity about the life of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. If you planning your own business make sure that you truly know about your self. Just like Jobs and Gates they know their ability and skills. Like them they have both intellectual and skills. As our facilitator said if I’m not mistaken he said that putting your own business you should have 50 percent knowledge and 50 percent skills, and also you should know you’re self. Why? If you don’t have those skills your knowledge is useless. There is no outlet for your knowledge to make your brilliant plan. Also, if you always spending time evaluating your skills and knowledge it will able you to make important choices towards your career. That test trying to analyze our skills and knowledge about entrepreneurship or technopreneurship. Hmmm. Always keep in mind that those evaluation are some of the solution to characterize who you are. All of those are my only understanding what are the personality traits was, but what was the really meaning of personality traits?
As I explore and surf from internet, Wikipedia as specific site personality traits was divided into five factor model FFM. They usually use it to describe human personality. These are the Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism (OCEAN, or CANOE if rearranged). These FFM were discovered and defined by several researchers. I’m so confused of what those Five Factor Model. As the Wikipedia defined the FFM as follows:

The Big Five factors and their constituent traits can be summarized as follows:
• Openness – (inventive / curious vs. consistent / cautious). Appreciation for art, emotion, adventure, unusual ideas, curiosity, and variety of experience.
• Conscientiousness – (efficient / organized vs. easy-going / careless). A tendency to show self-discipline, act dutifully, and aim for achievement; planned rather than spontaneous behavior.
• Extraversion – (outgoing / energetic vs. shy / reserved). Energy, positive emotions, urgency, and the tendency to seek stimulation in the company of others.
• Agreeableness – (friendly / compassionate vs. competitive / outspoken). A tendency to be compassionate and cooperative rather than suspicious and antagonistic towards others.
• Neuroticism – (sensitive / nervous vs. secure / confident). A tendency to experience unpleasant emotions easily, such as anger, anxiety, depression, or vulnerability.

The Big Five model is a comprehensive, empirical, data-driven research finding. Identifying the traits and structure of human personality has been one of the most fundamental goals in all of psychology. The five broad factors were discovered and defined by several independent sets of researchers (Digman, 1990). These researchers began by studying known personality traits and then factor-analyzing hundreds of measures of these traits (in self-report and questionnaire data, peer ratings, and objective measures from experimental settings) in order to find the underlying factors of personality.

So, I decided to take again the personality traits test with the FFM or Five Factor Mode. Learnmyself.com is the site where I took my personal traits test again. There questions are all about how we would react in the current conditions that characterize our self or events in a particular place, or our comfort level in a given setting. Every personality scope of the subject has questions to be answer, almost certainly it answers by “Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neither Agree nor Disagree, Agree, and Strongly Agree” to the certain point of the central or most important topic in a questions.

My record of the number of points made by the site compares me to the other men who are twenty or younger here in our country. It is stated that I’m not that generally self conscious about myself, it stated also that I’m always experience panic, confusion, and helplessness when under pressure or stress. i easily get affect somebody’s emotions in a irresistible way by too much noise and commotion and do not like thrill-seeking activities. But if we go deeply in the five factor model my score was Openness (14%), Conscientiousness (72%), Extraversion (26%), Agreeableness (45%) and Neuroticism (72%).

In the first factor I got low average of fourteen percent 14%. In entrepreneurship or technopreneurship you must have to be an Openness to new ideas and experiences, so that the entrepreneur or technopreneur will enhance his/her property or asset in which you will able to see new business enterprise that involves risk, but could lead to profit. But I think I prefer dealing with either people or things than ideas. I rather to do the familiar things than to have new routines it is simple to work if you familiar your job. However, openness is one of the most important of being a entrepreneur or technopreneur, it helps to face the new trials or problems. If you this factor you can easily bare that kind of possibility. That possibility may affect your business if you close your mind in the new techniques, ideas, and new concepts. In addition, you must use all of those to achieve a result. Be aware to the possible adjustments of the quality, prices, and etc to the contemporary status in the society. This factor is the lowest rate among the five factors because I prefer dealing with people or things rather than ideas. I usually regard intellectual exercises as a waste of time. But sometimes I have a desire to bend the rules and challenges conventional thinking.

The second factor that I got forty one percent 41% is conscientiousness, if you have a business doesn’t take it for granted. Do your sense of duty towards achieving your best. It must have a plan in a correct or well mannered way to competent other entrepreneur or technopreneur. The life of entrepreneur, you have to promote strategy to have your goals. The sense of duty and obligations is not only average he or she can make above average. He/she must followed a reasonably organized time and have a certain amount in life. In this factor it calculates how dedicated you are in the business you have. Sometimes I sense that I’m not in control of my life. Otherwise, I'm a reasonably organized person and like to have certain amount of routine. Also I have the ability and able to follow some tasks that I feel I need to complete. But not that pretty good in this factor.

Extraversion is the third factor that I got twenty six percent 26%. As what I have understood about extraversion it is the ability to have company with other people, have friends and especially to have client or customer. Technopreneur must make friends easily enough. Sometimes go out and make your way to demonstrate positive feelings toward others. He/she tend to talk much and prefer to control the activities of groups. At times the technopreneur or entrepreneur must to think through the preeminent for others such as the customers, client or even the coworkers, because having strong relationship with them will lead it to the strong walls to protect from the competitors. In this factor I obtain lower result because I'm not that friendly like others. I don’t like to socialize with stranger people. Though I like party yet not that as crowd as concert. All I want in the party is the food.

I got forty five percent 45% in the fourth factor. Agreeableness’s have the practical ability necessary for doing something like to help other people genuinely rewarding and are generally willing to assists those who are in need. So if you are technopreneur or entrepreneur you must have the ability of they called it good communication that every comments, complaints, criticism, clarification, protest or even praises of others it help to make a agreeable decision. If the entrepreneurs have a higher percentage of this field he/she is trustworthy towards others. They considered as friendly, generous, helpful, and willing to compromise with others. As a technopreneur, they should practice the character of being approachable both your customers and other people. He/she should gain a strong relationship with others. I must learn and study soon to be an agreeable so that my percentage of this factor will increase. I want to learn how to trust some people completely because if I have meet new people I can’t give my fully trust.
Neuroticism was the last factor with seventy two percent 72%. This factor talks about stability of the emotion. It is the negative emotional states such as depression, anger, anxiety and self consciousness. He/she easily experience panic, confusion, and helplessness when under pressure or stress. Especially when the technopreneur experience a problem in an investment and other problems or trials that usually came in the business, it makes you under pressure. Some technopreneur may be afraid of situations like this or they are generally fearful. However relating to technopreneurship, the businessmen have this kind of negative emotional states, he/she must have faith to her/his self that he/she can fight the emotional feelings. Yes! I gain this score because I am easily affected by or quick to express emotions, especially sadness. I’m not usually got angry too easily but some things can annoy me.

That Five Factor Model is very helpful to truly know myself. But I’m not sure if I can be a successful businessman someday because of the result of the second personality traits test I took. I learned a lot of this activity such as the advantages to know myself deeply and use the knowledge and skills to be popular and making a lot of money or having achieved or gained much, especially wealth for your future and fame. In addition I learned also some of the personality traits of some successful entrepreneur such as the truly knowing yourself, know your goal, and know your strengths and weaknesses, determination, know your business and your competition. He/she must have the determination and perseverance to achieve this goal.

Every individual have a goal to accomplish at a standardized level that we need to determined its fundamental human traits or personality traits and capacities in consciousness, fulfillment, delight and personal growth.

Reflection about the story of "The Pirates of the Silicon Valley"

1. What are the factors that contributed to the success and failure of Steve Jobs as a technopreneur?

In business there was a cycle of success to failure or failure to success. Those are the factors experienced by every entrepreneur or technopreneur. My parents also experienced all those things they manage a little business without consulting to the expert and without considerably planning. After five to seven months our business was bankrupt. Lessons learn! Make sure that you have a background for your business and make sure that you plan well, “4 W’s”- What, When, Where and Who.

For me there are two ways of managing a business to surpass the trials. “Be patience” to wait for the right time that your business becomes boom or become successful. “Patience is a Virtue” you must have the ability to endure waiting or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset. The longer you wait for, the more you appreciate when you success. Everything was hard while, is worthwhile. Furthermore you must have “the courage” not to be disappointed with what you encounter or commented by the consumer or customer. Also you must have the ability to face difficulty or being deflected from your chosen business. Just like Steve Jobs he faces all difficulties and became one of the most successful entrepreneurs of our generation. He made some rules that he use to step higher like a ladder of success.

Do what you love to do. This is the first rule made by Jobs. There are some reasons why they have a successful career. First ”willingness” not only technopreneur but also the person have the passion of the career they do. Second “activeness”, I can say activeness since an active person has energy can love and do whatever they want. Lastly “happiness”, of course if you are happy of your deed then you can love it. Find joy in every in every simple things and see the beauty then afterwards you learn to love of what you are doing. The only way to do great work is to love what you do.

Think Different. Be the one and be original. You can make things by the help of your imagination of thinking something original and different from others. Steve Jobs said "Better be a pirate than to join the navy."

Do the best and be the best. Life has its best then it is the way to teach us to aim one step higher among other people. Make your best not you’re poorest. Doing your best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment. Hire good people with passion for excellence.

Be Entrepreneurial. Be a successful employer not to be a successful employee. Be the owner, the manager and be the boss. That’s I call an "entrepreneurial mindset".

Make Swot Analysis. Study all the things that you need and can be need to your business. Don't be slow to act in throwing bad apples out of the business.

Start Small, Think Big. Start simple things, but don’t waste your time. Step forward not only for tomorrow but the future. “Think beyond” as if you own the world. It is not enough to do things in the right way nevertheless what is more important is doing things for the right reason.

Try to become a market leader. Make something standardize for economic activity connected with the production, manufacture, or construction of a particular product or range of products. Be the first.

Focus on the outcomes. Don’t mind the people who judge your performance just focus of something turns out in the end, “a satisfactory outcome”.

Listen to your customer. Comment is allowed but focus only in the people who use your product. Don’t bother yourself of the bad feedbacks use this feedbacks to improve your product.

Be Innovative. Achieve something in advance, new and creative products. Introduce a new way of doing something or a new device. Hire people who want to make the best things in the world.

Learn from your failure. Successful people did some mistake but they don’t quit. Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything innovate. Entrepreneur without a failure was nonsense.

Do not be afraid of making mistakes, for there is no other way of learning how to live.

The quality of the business you have depends on how you love the things you do, how you face the trials, how you think differently to others, how you manage the firm, how to learn among your failures and how you love the entrepreneur you have. Those things are not only the factors that contributed to the success and failure of Steve Jobs as a technopreneur but also to the people have ability to have business. 2. How do you see yourself as a technopreneur?

Me? A technopreneur oowhhh come ‘on I can’t see myself as a technopreneur as this early moment but in future maybe I am.
On the other hand what is technopreneur? Let us define technopreneur. It is come from two words Technology and Entrepreneur. It means a business that using technology as their business model. They don't fear to fail. They take failure as a learning experience, a stimulator to look things differently and stride for next challenge. Technoprenuers continuously go through an organic process of continual improvement and always try to redefine the dynamic digital economy. People are really struggling for survival but they don't know that the stuffs that could save them from annihilation and broke is just beside them. Yes just beside them, they only need a computer and an internet connection.
But how it could it is so? Can you see dollars around you? Can you earn money for your future or even at this early moment? You know how to earn home base? Can technology help me or to help you to earn some money?

Me? Well all I can suggest is you just have to be equipped in this so called field of technopreneurship. After watching the movie entitled “Pirates of the Silicon Valley” it’s all about the history of computers. This is the story of the growth of the personal computer industry. The movie while based on historical fact did alter things a bit for dramatic reasons. The Movie begins with IBM in the early 1980's, the big brother in the computer world that everyone else feared. It shows how Steve Jobs and Bill Gates use the technology for business to their success.
Then that movie shows how brilliant the technology was. Me as a student my goal was to finish my studies. Years from now I really crave for the concept of using the technology. I want myself sooner or later to have a business, not just have as simple as business is, but a production in regards of technology advancement. In which I can fully be proud of- a totally groundbreaking enterprise just like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. I want them to beat off. (day dreaming?)

This magnificent idea of mine doesn’t seems and look easy. Yes I agree! But If I have the good virtues same with the innovative person in industry, surely I can be dignified and deem to honor by the number of people around me.

Be creative, savvy and optimistic are the few attitudes of being one of a kind. One of the ways in alleviating our concepts in the field of technopreneurship is having of the said subject to our curriculum. Honestly speaking, I was confused if this subject really exists and helps my future, I hope so.

Taking the same career path that Steve Jobs took? Of course yes, if Steve Jobs and I, have equal IQ and skills why not. Many of us dreamed that can be one of the most successful person. Just like Jobs because of his talented hands and high IQ, he made his own personal computer powered and named by Apple.

Apple is one of the most iconic names in the computer industry, and the two men who were largely instrumental in its establishment–Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak–are no less legendary. When the two set up shop in 1976, little did the world know just how significant an impact the company will make in computer technology. The Apple Corporation is still in existence and in fact is still one of the foremost names in personal computers and mobile technology today.
You, me and us, can you imagine that yourself taking the same career paths of the great Steve Jobs? It’s possible right? Just bear this in your mind “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. You somehow already know what you truly want to become.” - Steve Jobs

Sometimes one of best ways to be unsuccessful in your search for the right career is to be unclear as to what you want. The first rule of Jobs was “Do what you love to do“. On the other hand, you should have sharp-eyed when you are stalking for a job or business. You should be able to determine if you are in that field. Make sure that kind of jobs or business is appropriate for you. Assess your strong points, interests, principles, and character. Make use of career guides and personality tests. No matter what techniques or tools you use, you will be accumulating a private assessment and outline that will direct you on a suitable career path. It will help you to decide and what to do in your chosen career. A career that leads you to the tip of the mountain, in other words love whatever paths you choose. For more than three decades, Steve Jobs has been creating products that enrich people’s lives. But in some ways, his greatest achievement could be in what he has taught us about work and life: expect excellence from yourself, create great experiences for your customers, and follow your heart.

But there is one thing that I don’t like Jobs characteristics. In the movie entitled “Pirates of the Silicon Valley” he used his power, talent and skills just to control, dictate, dominate, humiliate and embarrass others. Sometimes he didn’t appreciate the accomplishments done with his employees. It results that Steve Jobs fired in the Apple Company. But inspiring quote he said, “I didn’t see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.” He learned from his failure and this is one of his rules made by him. I think everyone should experience defeat at least once during their career. You learn a lot from it. Jobs loves of what he is doing, and so instead of losing his past profession he always believing that whatever happens, there is a rainbow after the rain. Even he deals with trials by the middle of the flight of his life he still goes on of his career paths. Because of his determinants to solve those struggles and tangible problems I idolized him as a raw model. He didn’t waste time as he stated “Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

From his inspiring quote limit your time. As we all know God give us borrowed life so, make your best and be the best. That’s the third rules of Jobs. Don’t waste the time given “Time is Gold”. Though it’s better to have best quality than to have number of quantity but low quality. “Quality is more important than quantity. One home run is much better than two doubles.”- Steve Jobs. The staying power of quality products as against the transient nature of fad products cannot be emphasized better. Mass-produced, cheap imitations can never score over genuine quality products. Stand out from the competition with high quality products that will stand the test of time. Opportunities always come any time so the secret of career path of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes.

I have learned that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. But as of now, all I can do is to practice the rules of Steve Jobs. Truthfully sacrifice in the start will lead to an abundant living for tomorrow.

‘Beat the odds”. That’s the one thing that will inspire me more and most to take after them. Though I don’t have the perfect idea to start it up as of now but I assure that giving me such recognize and pleasure in the near future will bring me to the “hall of fame” with influence and abounding. Being well-off in this career path in Technopreneurship is no other than Mr. Kevin Cris Ramos. Yes I can!
